Saint Simons Island - Glynn, GA Fishing Report on 15th Jul, 2026

Summer is in full swing here in the Golden Isles, and the local waters are incredibly active. The massive influx of baitfish has officially moved into our sounds and along the beaches, turning on a highly consistent bite. The warm July weather and massive tidal swings have created the perfect environment for both our inshore and nearshore fishing trips.

For families joining us on the water, the nearshore shark bite has been fast and steady. It is a fantastic way to keep rods bending and young anglers fully engaged during our morning charters. We are also seeing a healthy number of Tarpon—the famous Silver Kings of the coast—rolling near the inlets, and sight-casting for Tripletail near the surface has been highly productive on the calmer days. In the shallower tidal creeks, our light-tackle setup is consistently pulling in beautiful Redfish and Spotted Seatrout.

Right now, our primary fishing technique involves casting popping corks to draw in the local species. The surface noise mimics feeding fish and has been working perfectly against the marsh grass lines during the higher stages of the tide. When the water drops, we transition to stealthy deep-water presentations, dropping live shrimp and bait into the deeper coastal pockets to target the trout and flounder holding a bit lower in the water column.
